Our members range from 12 years old to over 80 years young, and the group enjoys not only theatre work, but also a variety of other social activities.     CCADS was founded in 1981 by Karen James and was originally based at Christ Church United Reformed Church in Chapel Road, Redhill, hence “Christ Church Amateur Dramatic Society”. Unfortunately in 1988 Christ Church was closed and the club moved to its new home at St. Joseph’s Parish Centre in Ladbroke Road but decided to retain its’ initials “CCADS” as the club’s name.

    The Society stages a wide range of productions year to year, from drama to musicals, comedy, tragedy, pantomime and old time music hall.     The Miller Centre Theatre Company are based in Caterham, Surrey and are part of the Little Theatre Guild. We produce 9 plays a year in our well-equipped 198-seater auditorium which has a revolve in the stage and can be adapted for in-the-round productions. We also have an on-site rehearsal studio and theatrical wardrobe (holding an estimated 2,000 costumes), which hires out for fancy-dress and to other local theatre companies. We also have a thriving youth theatre for kids aged 8-18. Whether you're interested in treading the boards or helping backstage (or both!), new members are always welcome - no experience necessary, full training will be given.
